FEATURE 02 · GENERATIVE SEARCH

See which sources AI selects instead of your page.

For a selected prompt, TextRank compares the answers from Claude, GPT, Gemini and Grok with the pages they surface. You see the information and evidence your content is competing with.

Focus on the sources actually shaping the answer your prospect sees before they ever visit your site.

WHAT A GAP CAN LOOK LIKEAnswers you are missingSources compared

THE COMPETITOR REPORT IS ONLY A START

The company above you in a keyword tool may not be the page influencing an AI answer.

For a buying prompt, a model might surface a vendor comparison, a specialist publication and a customer’s implementation guide. For a practical question, it may prefer documentation. These sources compete for different reasons, and treating them as one undifferentiated list hides the useful part.

TextRank collects the available responses and cited or mentioned sources for the chosen prompts, then puts the relevant pages alongside your content. You can inspect the source before acting on the comparison.

WHAT THE COMPARISON EXPOSES

It looks past a score to the details a reader can challenge.

01

Sources AI surfaces

See the vendors, publishers, documentation and reviews that AI brings into the answer, and why they are relevant.

02

Answers you are missing

Find the buyer questions a competitor answers clearly while your company website stays silent or vague.

03

Evidence present in the sources

Spot the facts, methods, examples, dates and limitations that distinguish a surfaced source from your page.

04

Citation-ready content

Identify definitions, tables, FAQ and standalone passages that are easier for AI to find, understand and reuse.

A COMPARISON WITH CONTEXT

The model view stays separate because the answers can differ.

TextRank records the response, brand mentions and source set for each supported model. A source that is useful to one model is not automatically a benchmark for another. The report therefore keeps the comparison tied to the model and prompt that produced it.

At page level, the analysis compares keywords and entities. It also reaches into sentences and passages, where the practical gap often lives: an unqualified claim, an absent condition, or a competitor explanation that is simply easier to reuse.

Choose a next move

Turn the comparison into an editorial decision you can defend.

You can strengthen the existing page, publish a focused supporting answer, add evidence, or leave a prompt alone because it does not serve the offer. The report shows the trade-off in the open.
